Through the summer of 2018, the docent tour includes original animation cels from the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit as well as animation cels from the artist, Chuck Jones. For fall 2018, the docent tour will focus on the main exhibition, Edward Curtis: Beauty, Heart and Spirit. Docent tours can be geared toward any age, and gallery-based activities are available upon request.
Art projects are available in our fifth floor studios, and are taught by a local artist. Projects are age-appropriate for the group and will include some instruction on the elements and principles of art.
Docent tours and art projects must be booked a minimum of two weeks in advance, and the museum can accommodate groups of up to 60 people. For groups of 30 or more, the tour will be split into two; one half participating in a docent tour while the second half participates in an art project. Halfway through the visit, the two groups will switch, so that all participants can enjoy both components of the trip.
Tours can be scheduled during museum hours only
-Thursday: until 8pm*
*Closed during Thursday evening special events.
