The Legacy: A Celebration of Life
A Leadership of the Fox Cities Project
The Legacy: A Celebration of Life Reception:
January 26, 2017 from 5:30-7:30pm
About the Exhibit:
The project goal of The Legacy: A Celebration of Life was to provide an inter-generational connection by sharing the legacy of life and educating the community on the importance of the end-of-the-life process. As a result, hospice patients, their loved ones, professional caretakers who were closely involved with the care of the patients, and high school students were brought together to produce this amazing art display.
The Leadership of the Fox Cities Team was grateful for the wonderful collaboration with everyone involved. Partnering with volunteers at the ThedaCare Hospice Facility at Cherry Meadows, patients and family members were filmed sharing their life journey and their experiences. The hospice
care providers of these individuals were also filmed to capture the holistic approach that is given to each person as they enter the final stages of their life.
The final video was presented to the Appleton
West High School Renaissance School for the Arts for their artistic interpretation and the display you see here. We are also grateful for the assistance provided by Jack Richeson & Co. in artistic displays and art supplies for an event featuring the students work at the Cherry Meadows Anniversary Celebration in May 2016.
