The Artist's View
A collection of artwork featuring the simple things
About the Exhibit:
From sculptures and watercolor to hand-colored etchings and pastel, The Artist's View features artwork created using a variety media. The works in the exhibit are tied together by the theme of the simple things, including landscapes, birds, cows and other elements in nature.
“My subject matter has always been those settings that are around me, the simple things, the play of light, the textures, friends, cattle and gardens. My desire is to isolate, concentrate on the more simple, the rural, the backyard, the singular figures.” -Ann Herzog Wright
About the Artist:
Ann Wright has spent the majority of her life pursuing Artistic interests. Though studying Art at the University of Wisconsin and Potsdam University of New York was important to her, the experience of her day to day life and her work with other well-known artists has been the greatest influence on her work. Ann’s fascination with the people and landscapes around her has fostered her directions in Art. While she is definitely a realist, she is also an impressionist who delights in the interplay of light and structure. Learn more about Ann by visiting her website.
