Chad Brady, an active artist since childhood, moved to Appleton from the Washington, DC, area in 2009, to live with his two muses: a woman and the woods. Since his arrival, his surroundings have informed his work; whether the North Woods, local Native American culture, or the rich horsemanship community, Wisconsin is present in every piece you see.
In addition to working in a wide variety of media including painting, drawing, printmaking, and photography, Chad’s career as a professional muralist for commercial, residential, and public clients has spanned the better part of two decades.
He has received awards for his oil and watercolor painting, his printmaking, his pencil drawing, and his murals.
Chad’s recent murals include Cozzy Corner, The Fire, Fox River House, and Vagabond Imports in downtown Appleton, and a six-wall public mural along Milwaukee's Hank Aaron State Trail near Miller Park. He participates regularly in Appleton owntown’s Art Walk, and received an Honorable Mention at the Trout Museum’s 2013 Art at the Park.
